Download a YouTube Short on iPhone
On iPhone, the ReKlip shortcut downloads a Short without leaving YouTube: tap Share under the Short, choose ReKlip, and the video lands in your Files or gallery.

Share, then ReKlip
YouTube does not let you save a Short to your iPhone's camera roll. The Apple shortcut adds that button to the Share menu: from the Short, you tap Share then ReKlip, and the vertical MP4 downloads without copying the link or opening Safari.
One install, unlimited uses
You add the shortcut once from ReKlip's Shortcut page, allow it on first launch, and it stays in the Share menu for all your future Shorts. No third-party YouTube app and no login to your Google account.
Vertical, ready to repost
A Short is already 9:16, so ReKlip returns it in its native ratio, with no bars or cropping. You can repost it as a TikTok or a Reel from your iPhone, or keep only the audio by choosing MP3 on the same link.
FAQ
- Does the shortcut access my Google account?
- No. It only passes the public Short link to ReKlip, without logging into YouTube or your Google account.
- Does it work on long videos?
- The shortcut targets Shorts (short format). For the audio of a long YouTube video, use MP3 conversion from the browser instead.
- Where does the video land?
- In the Files app or in Photos, depending on your setting at install.
- Is it free?
- Yes for the video download. Advanced outputs require a member account.
